I would not by any console then. Simple. If the price of new games is significantly cheaper then what it is now because of their new DRM features, then I'll probably buy both consoles eventually. But until I know for sure, I'm going to assume that the prices won't change.

PC has always been one step ahead of consoles, which SHOULD be the case because PC gamers pays bags and bags of money just to upgrade one part of their experience...I only need to go out a buy a disk. That's why I stick to console gaming: I simply can't afford a decent PC rig. £300-£400 for a console is a worthy investment for me, because that initial buy will last...

No, actually, I was already convinced I wanted to get a PS4. Had the Xbox One been streets ahead of the PS4, even in terms of gameplay only, I might have changed my mind and decided to just stick with getting the next Xbox. Obviosuly, that won't be happening.
It still remains to be seen what the price points are, but I'd be surprised if the XBox One is significantly cheaper then the PS4.

If this is common practice in game events then, I applaud (though not loudly) Sony for not doing it at their announcement. The way of honesty and sincerity is the way to go, not superficial approval.
